Providing Liquidity to Property Owners

The REIT will also feature a unique REIT/IRET exchange feature. Once the REITs are launched, and have enough backing so that the addition of single properties will not substantially affect the price of the REITs, we will be able to offer property owners a direct REIT/IRET exchange system. The purpose of this system is for property owners to trade their IRETs in exchange for REITs (or subREITs) and gain additional liquidity through the REIT structure. Through this system, a property owner will be able to get an appraisal on their properties (by a REX Protocol approved appraiser). The property owner will then transfer the amount of IRETs they want to sell to REX Protocol, where REX Protocol will place them in the appropriate subREIT wallet in order to back the minting of the additional REITs that will be given to them at the appraisal value of their property. Instead of selling their less liquid IRETs, the property owners will be able to sell the REITs of equal value in a more liquid fashion.

Additionally, we are considering a direct USDC exchange to the property owners instead of a REIT exchange, by having REX Protocol itself sell the REITs that correspond to the property owner.
