How it Works

Although the inner workings of REITs might seem complicated, it is an extremely easy to use token for investors and property owners.

Investors:

  1. Choose what the correct REIT for their investment criteria is

  2. Buy it through the exchange

  3. Follow the market according to the REIT they choose

  4. Collect lease income from the IRETs backing that REIT

  5. Vote on decisions for the IRETs being held in that REITs wallets if they so choose

  6. Sell through the exchange whenever they want to

Property Owners:

  1. Attain property appraisal through REX Protocol approved appraiser

  2. Tokenize property on REX Protocol

  3. Exchange IRETs from property with REITs of equal value according to appraisal*

  4. Sell REITs (if they so wish)

*We are also currently considering the option of REX Protocol selling the REITs itself and directly giving the property owners USDC instead of REITs.
